Hello? Is this thing on? Okay! Gather ‘round and listen closely, because we have something to tell you…Lingoda audio learning just launched!

What do we mean? Without further ado, we’d like to introduce you to the newest member of the Lingoda family… The Lingoda Podcast! (Cue the confetti!).

For the past few months we have been working on fun, new audio content and we’re so excited to share it. Filled with everyday vocabulary and engaging bite-sized stories, we’re hoping that the Lingoda Podcast will become the latest addition to your daily listening playlist–and a fun new favorite language-learning tool. Ready to hear more about it? Let’s go!

The essentials

Who can listen to the Lingoda Podcast? The content is designed for beginners (A2) and for those who are a tad more advanced in their language-learning journey (B1), but would still like to practice their listening skills and learn some new words.

And the first language we’ll be working with? Drumroll, please… Spanish! So, whether you’re preparing for your dream vacation to Mexico or working to boost your professional career, the Lingoda Podcast’s first launch of Spanish episodes will give you a convenient way to fit language learning into your daily routine!

When and where?

Got your earphones ready? Great. You’ll be able to listen to The Lingoda Podcast starting Friday 29th, September 2023 on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music and YouTube

Never feel guilty about forgetting to study. Outside of scheduled class times, you can pop your earbuds in and have an immersive language experience on the go. Jogging in the park? Perfect. Driving to work? We got you. Washing dishes in the evening? Play a quick episode on your nearest speaker and scrub away.

The motivation

Lingoda already offers a wide range of resources to help our students learn a new language in the most efficient way, from our highly qualified teachers to our incredibly effective Language Sprints… but we’re always looking to bring you even more value and learning opportunities.

With our new language-learning podcast, we’re thrilled to:

  • Provide students with a ready-to-go tool to practice listening, pronunciation and vocabulary outside the classroom – anywhere at anytime
  • Deliver engaging and interesting stories about international traditions, building a bridge between communities
  • Fulfill our students’ cravings! Nearly 70% of the respondents to an Instagram poll we hosted expressed keen interest in weekly podcast episodes. You tapped, we made it happen!

The stories

So what exactly will you be listening to on the Lingoda Podcast? Well, our teams have worked hard to create episodes that will not only help you practice your language abilities, but that will also give you a captivating look into other countries’ traditions.

From a local’s everyday life to some of the most colorful celebrations in the world (any fans of Día de Muertos?), you’ll encounter an array of topics that we are sure will capture your heart and imagination. Furthermore, you can count on content that is both relevant to modern discourse and transcends borders.

The first Spanish series El viaje español, for example, will not only give you valuable insight into Latin American customs, but it will also bring in cultural references from all across the globe!

On top of that…

In each episode, our hosts will narrate short stories perfect for those wanting to make the most out of a brief break (or commute!). Additionally, on our podcast page, you’ll:

  • Find a transcript of the narration to support your understanding
  • Be able to download a vocabulary list with Spanish vocabulary and English, French, or German translations
  • Be positively challenged with a short quiz testing your language comprehension – plus an option to receive the results in your inbox

With these interactive features, we’re confident that the Lingoda Podcast will be a useful learning instrument that effectively and conveniently supports class study.

Happy listening!

With the Lingoda Podcast, you’ll be able to practice your language skills anywhere. We invite you to tune in and improve your listening, pronunciation and vocabulary in just a few minutes. Not only that, but you’ll explore other cultures’ wonderful traditions and customs from your laptop or smartphone.

So… now that the cat is out of the recording studio, we’re really looking forward to having your ear and attention! Thank you for coming with us on this new journey and happy listening!
