Everyone has different goals, schedules, and preferences – and all of these things can affect your learning speed. If you want to succeed at mastering your target language, it’s essential to find an online language course that lets you learn at the pace you want. Ready to find out which course or classes will help you reach your goals in a way that makes sense for you? Then read on!

The best online English language courses

We’ll get into the individual courses in just a minute. But before we do, let’s have a quick look at the features that make Lingoda the number one online language school in Europe!

Clear structure

Whether you’re learning English, business English, German, French, or Spanish, Lingoda ensures you’re doing it in a straightforward and logical way, one step at a time.

Lingoda’s courses follow CEFR levels, from A1 to C1 (beginner to proficient) – language standards that are recognised worldwide. There are 50 classes per CEFR level, and each level builds on the previous one, so you’re always on a clear path.

Real-world content

The point of learning a language is to communicate. You can’t do that by practicing impractical vocabulary in unrealistic situations! This is where many online courses fall short.

The interactive and immersive Lingoda course materials are different because they’re based on real life. Everything you learn is designed to help you communicate in authentic, day-to-day situations, no matter what the level, topic, or activity.

Expert teachers

The best structure or materials don’t mean much if you haven’t got the right instructors to guide you. That’s why all of Lingoda’s instructors (over 1,000 of them) are native-speaking, certified teachers with years of experience.

On top of teaching every lesson in a clear and engaging way, these language leaders are there to answer your questions and offer personalised feedback.

You’ll also get a chance to meet several different teachers as you learn so you can hear a variety of accents – just as you do in real life!

A style for every learner

Now, we’ll break down the different courses to choose from. All of the following offer 24/7 classes, so you’re able to customise your schedule. You can also decide between group classes or private lessons.

Month-to-month classes

“Success is a journey, not a destination.” – Arthur Ashe

Have you got a busy schedule? Do you need some time to figure out your goals? Do you simply like to take your time when you’re learning? If any of that sounds familiar, you might be a month-to-month learner. It’s for anyone who wants to do this whole language-learning thing on their own time!

It’s simple: Whenever you feel like it, you choose a class and join! This option comes with a lot of freedom – you pay monthly, and you can cancel anytime.

Language Marathon

“Where you are headed is more important than how fast you are going.” – Stephen Covey

If you’re interested in a bit more of a commitment and work better with a clear goal, the Language Marathon is for you!

A Marathon allows you to keep a steady pace, build up a habit, and work toward a target – but still gives you enough flexibility that you can schedule classes around your life. While it’s a good idea to take about three classes per week to stay on track, it’s completely up to you!

There are three kinds of Marathon available, depending on how much commitment you’re comfortable with:

Quarter

At three months in length, this is the shortest Marathon. To complete it, you need to attend 45 classes and complete one learning module (for instance, B2.1).

Half

This is a six-month Marathon that requires you to take 90 classes and complete one language level or progress to the next one (B2 to C1, for example). On completion, you can take a free Cambridge Linguaskill speaking test.

Full

The full Marathon, clocking in at 12 months, is made up of 180 classes. Over that year, you’ll need to progress two full levels (such as A2 to B2). When you get to the end, you’ll be eligible to take a free four-skills Linguaskill test.

Oh, by the way, did we forget to mention this? Whatever type of Marathon you choose, you can receive up to €400 back if you attend 90% of your classes!

Language Sprint

“I don’t need time; what I need is a deadline.” – Duke Ellington

Finally, we have the Language Sprint. If you’ve ever struggled to get started, stay motivated, or reach a goal, this intensive course with its tight deadline can help whip you into shape! There are two different options: the Sprint and the Super Sprint.

Sprint

The Sprint requires you to attend 15 classes every month for three months, and you’ll need to complete one learning module. Learners who attend all their classes are eligible for a 50% cashback prize.

Super Sprint

The most intensive course by far, the Super Sprint consists of 30 classes per month for three months (one class every day, with no exceptions). You’re expected to complete one full level or progress to the next one.

Super Sprint students who attend one full class every day for three months are eligible to receive 100% cashback! Those who complete an English or business English Super Sprint will also be offered a free Linguaskill speaking test. How’s that for motivation?
